Mr. McMahon is a partner with the firm and is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. The honor of this designation is bestowed upon less than three percent of the attorneys in the State of New Jersey. Mr. McMahon concentrates his practice in serious personal injury matters. He has tried and settled several multi-million-dollar cases and has a wide range of experience in cases involving significant bodily injury and death, traumatic brain injury, defective products, consumer fraud, premises liability, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, asbestos disease, and environmental damage. Over the course of the last few years, Mr. McMahon has additionally developed an Estate planning practice, which practice was a natural offshoot of helping those in catastrophic injury cases.

Mr. McMahon is admitted to the New Jersey Bar as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has litigated many cases in federal jurisdictions including multi-district litigation in the State of New York and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 

He is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of Maryland where he received his B.A. in History in 1998 while serving as the Student Assistant to the George B. and Willma Reeves Distinguished Professor in the Liberal Arts. He received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2004 while serving as Research Assistant to Professor and State Senator Robert Martin. Following law school, he served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John J. Hughes in the United States District Court of New Jersey. Thereafter he served as Deputy Attorney General prosecuting environmental actions within the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. Prior to forming Noonan & McMahon, Mr. McMahon focused his practice on mass tort and class action litigation on a national scale with one of the nation’s leading mass tort law firms.

Mr. McMahon is legal counsel to Project U.S.E., a not-for-profit wilderness education program, and also serves on the Board of Advisors for Brookdale Community College’s Paralegal Studies Department where he teaches classes on legal ethics, business law and civil litigation.
